Our 1998 Cabernet/Merlot is the first red wine released under Greg Chappells total control from harvest to bottle. Comprised of 70% Merlot and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine has cherry and blackberry aromas with sweet vanilla notes from the eighteen months in small French and American oak barrels. Cinnamon, spice and pepper flavors contribute to an easy-drinking Red appropriate for tomato sauces, grilled entrees, and smoked meats.
